Founded in 1886, the Royal British Columbia Museum is a history museum and one of the centre-pieces of the city of Victoria. It includes three permanent galleries and an IMAX theatre. Vikes Athletics and Recreation Membership

University Club

The University Club of Victoria (formerly called the Faculty Club) opened for business on March 16, 1982. The west coast design and cedar construction of the building lends itself gracefully to the natural picturesque setting in a wooded dale. The building, located on campus, is surrounded by high trees in a quiet, wooded area. Artistic landscaping with flowers and shrubs blooming year round are reflected in the adjacent pond.

All alumni can obtain a one-time, one-year free associate membership to the University Club by presenting their Alumni Card at the club if they have not previously been a club member. The club's home-like setting provides an atmosphere conducive to relaxing in the comfort, meeting and enjoying the company and conviviality of others, or conducting business away from the office. New graduates are eligible for a one year ‘free’ membership in the club immediately following their graduation (June or November) and is available only once per person.

UVic Photographic Services

Alumni receive a 15% discount, year round, off the regular studio portrait fee (not including graduation portraits) when they present their valid UVic Alumni Card. One of Canada’s leading literary journals, The Malahat Review was established at UVic in 1967.
